Comar CSB200 AIS (Automated Identification System) Class B Transponder is a way of identifying a vessel's position, course and speed and freight through VHF digital information. AIS helps resolve the difficulty of identifying ships when not in sight (e.g. at night, in fog, in radar blind arcs or shadows). Comar CSB200 AIS Class B Transponder provides high performance and low cost Reception and Transmission all in the same unit. - Class B transponder ensures that you see and are seen by other AIS vessels and coast stations.
- Water Resistant - IEC60945 Category C.
- Transmits position once every 30 seconds (or more when asked to do so) reporting identity, position, speed & course, call sign, type of vessel, dimensions & mmsi number.
- When connected to Chartplotter determines anti collision data.
- Data Interface:RS232:38.4k baud; RS422 (NMEA).
- Complies with IEC62287-1, IEC60945, IEC61162-100, ITU-R M.1371-1.
- Power: 12vDC 6w.
- Note: requires dedicated active GPS & VHF antennas.
