Goods may be collected from our store in Fairfield or sent by a variety of means as appropriate to their size or nature. Some items will offer airfreight options. Hazardous goods such as flares, rockets and some solvents can not be posted or airfreighted. The orders are packed by our staff in our store at Fairfield, Victoria Australia.

Free Shipping Conditions

Freight is free (within mainland Australia & Tasmania) for orders over $500 (excluding freight) unless indicated otherwise in the item's listing. You can find out what the freight cost might be for many items by placing it into your shopping cart, entering your post code and clicking GET A QUOTE.   • Some interstate, country and remote areas may incur a freight surcharge. Where products are ineligible for the freight free offer, specific freight costs will be added to the order. The item may be too big or bulky, too heavy or of a hazardous nature and may be prohibited for shipment using a particular method. Freight rates outlined above are valid for mainland Australia & Tasmania deliveries only. Freight on overseas orders will be quoted individually.

  • All goods are sent by a variety of methods that provide proof of delivery such as Registered Post, Toll Overnight Courier, Couriers Please, Direct Freight Express.

 

Want it Now 4 Hour Courier Delivery within Melbourne

This service is available only for deliveries within the Melbourne Metropolitan area.

  • Want It Now delivery option depends on your location. The shopping trolley will indicate if this option is available to your area by entering your suburb and post code. If you proceed, the fee will be calculated at checkout and added to your final total.
  • Orders must be placed between 8 am and 3:20 pm Monday to Friday.
  • Cancellation of booking will incur a service fee.
  • Please allow up to 4 hours for delivery in peak periods or for long distances within Metropolitan Melbourne.
  • Deliveries can be tracked down to the minute, using the WantItNow website or via the iPhone/ Android app. An email will be sent with this link upon completion of your order.
  • The driver will require a signature upon delivery.
  • If there is no one home when the driver attempts delivery, they will make contact via the mobile number provided and, with your permission, can either leave your parcel somewhere safe (as nominated by you), deliver to an alternate address or redeliver at another time (you will incur a redelivery fee)

 

Express Post within Australia

This service is available for deliveries within mainland Australia & Tasmania. Make sure you use an delivery address that will have someone present to take delivery as the goods will not be left without a signature.

Deliveries are usually made the next day, too.

  • You must place your order by 3pm (Australian Eastern Daylight Savings Time) on any business day (provided goods are available). Orders placed on weekends and public holidays will be dispatched on the next business day.
  • Goods will be delivered on business days; no deliveries will be made on weekends or public holidays.
  • Next day delivery  to these postcodes is available to customers located in Australian CBD, metro and major regional areas (but excluding Perth metro and all of Darwin)
  • Next day delivery is not available to customers outside Australian metro and major regional areas, Perth metro or Darwin.
  • Goods will be delivered by Australia Post and a signature is required upon delivery. If no signature is obtained at the time of delivery, a note will be left at your premises and goods will be delivered to your local post office for collection.
  • Goods may not be delivered next day due to circumstances (such as adverse weather, strikes etc) beyond the control of CH Smith Marine or Australia Post or if outside the Express Post service area.

Air Courier Delivery within Australia

This service is available for deliveries within mainland Australia & Tasmania. Make sure you use an delivery address that will have someone present to take delivery as the goods will net be left without a signature.

  • Limited to goods that fit in 3 or 5kg airbags of a non hazardous nature.
  • Orders must be placed by 3pm Monday to Friday for dispatch that day (provided goods are available). Orders placed on weekends and public holidays will be dispatched on the next business day.
  • The driver will require a signature upon delivery. If there is no one home when the driver attempts delivery, a card will be left advising contact details for redelivery for which you will be charged additional cost.
  • A email will be sent upon dispatch with a Tracking Number.

 

Australia Post

Australia Post is the most common method for most items as Australia Post has the widest area of service in Australia. We use the Registered Registered Post Service for added security.

  • Limited to parcels under 20kg. There are also height restrictions and where either of these are exceeded, we use (at our total discretion) Road Freight.
  • Orders must be placed by 3pm Monday to Friday for dispatch that day (provided goods are available). Orders placed on weekends and public holidays will be dispatched on the next business day.
  • Goods will be delivered by Australia Post and a signature is required upon delivery. If no one is able to sign, a note will be left at your premises and goods will be delivered to your local post office for collection.
  • A email will be sent upon dispatch with a Tracking Number.


International Orders

Express Courier International is via Australia Post TO the destination country and the postal carrier OF the destination country to the customers address ie USPS, Royal Mail, Parcel Force, Deutsche Post, etc. PLEASE NOTE THAT DELAYS IN DELIVERY CAN OCCUR IF CUSTOMS DUTIES/ TAXES ARE TO BE PAID BY THE CUSTOMER.

  • All prices are in Australian dollars. The prices within the online store DO NOT include relevant overseas duties and other customs charges you may incur. All purchases are in AUD and will be converted by the customer's bank.
  • To comply with Australian export regulations, we are required to declare the exact value of all items ordered and to mark them as dutiable 'merchandise'. We are also prohibited by law from marking the order as a 'gift', even if the order is placed with the intention of sending to a gift recipient.
  • A email will be sent upon dispatch with a Tracking Number.
  • For most items Quote my Freight will be the only option and this will enable us to find the most appropriate and cost effective option, which will subsequently be communicated by email for your acceptance and approval.
