Minn Kota Riptide SP Trolling Motor rugged new saltwater powerhouse features better performance and a new foot pedal option. Minn Kota Riptide SP's new stow/deploy mechanism lets you move effortlessly in and out of the water.

• Advanced Corrosion Protection: Riptide SP features premium-grade marine alloys, including aluminum upper arms that are virtually impervious to oxidative corrosion (rust). Metals undergo a rigid multi-step cleaning process before being anodized or coated with a special zinc dichromate armor plating. All components are then finished with a 5-mil TGIC polyester, powder coat paint.
• Digital Maximizer™: Get up to five times longer run time on a single charge. Controls draw of power at infinitely variable speeds to conserve battery power and extend run time.
• Indestructible Composite Shaft: Ultra high-yield composite material has been tested to be three times the strength of steel. Virtually indestructible, it flexes on impact and then returns to its original position. Unlike steel, will not kink, break, rust or corrode – guaranteed for life.
• Cool, Quiet Power: Minn Kota’s larger brushes, windings and commutators generate less heat, less noise and run cooler…extending motor life and conserving battery power. You get greater sustained thrust and more time on the water. A unique bearing system produces low rpms/high torque to cut down on fish-spooking noise—so quiet they’ll never hear you coming.
• AutoPilot (Select models only, see below): Spend less time steering your boat and more time catching fish.
• Deploy-Assist Lever: Riptide SP’s new deploy-assist lever puts you in motion and in pursuit of fish quicky and easily. Simply depress the lever to deploy the motor and you’re ready to go. When it’s time to move, it stows easily and securely – ready for action again as soon as you are.
• Foot Pedal: New waterproof, low-profile foot pedal with 18' cord offers precise control. You can activate AutoPilot as well as heel/toe or right/left steering, infinite speed adjustments, and momentary/constant On/Off control. (Sold separately).
• CoPilot: Standard feature on the Riptide ST70 (optional on ST55). CoPilot gives you control of speed, steering and On/Off controls, along with a new high speed bypass control for instant full power. You can also now activate your AutoPilot™ from anywhere on the boat – including the platform.
