Decoupling Foam Sound Insulation

Decoupling Foam Sound Insulation is made as a composite sandwich of materials including a flexible high mass Noise barrier, laminated between two layers of flexible acoustic foam. This noise control barrier system design increases sound transmission loss due to changing densities and thus provides high levels of sound absorbion.

• Ideal to use in engine rooms or other areas that require some form of Noise control
• Base layer made up with 6mm foam and acts as decoupling layer to separate the Noise barrier and space it off the structure
• Middle layer is the decoupled Noise barrier that does the significant absorbtion which exceed the mass law
• Commonly bonded to structure with a simple spray adhesive
• Fire retardant to AS1530.3
• Excellent mid to high Frequency performance
• Resists hydrolysis - foam will not rot
