Lowrance has just announced a new software update NOS59 to be known as 18.1 for HDS Carbon, HDS Gen3 and Elite Ti, bringing in a new set of handy features.

These models have proved ever-popular, and thanks to this upgrade they've been made even better. So what can you expect?

Introducing FishReveal

With the addition of FishReveal, you'll be able to see Sonar and DownScan all on the one screen (no need for split screen anymore!), with large, clear Fish arches and full DownScan detail.

FishReveal does this by boosting the solid Sonar returns, and tuning out the weaker ones, to give a much clearer, detailed view of what the Fish are up to. The Fish will have nowhere to hide!

You'll be able to easily see Fish previously lost in the structure of traditional Sonar. You can clearly separate larger Fish baits from smaller bait targets, and even see whether the Fish are actively feeding on bait Fish.

CMAP Navigation Palette

Lowrance has also made changes to the CMAP Navigation colour palette for HDS Carbon, HDS Gen3 and Elite Ti, so charts are easier to read and all the information you need much more immediate.

HDS Carbon – High Contrast StructureScan

Across the HDS Carbon Range, Lowrance has taken steps to refine the processing quality and clarity of StructureScan 3D, SideScan and DownScan. They've done this by providing a higher contrast image, allowing you to see details which are much more refined.

No need to go to a higher Frequency any more – you'll now have a better image quality without having to sacrifice any Range.

Dock-to-Dock Autorouting / EasyRouting

These features, already available on HDS Carbon and Gen3, have now also been introduced to Elite Ti.

Navionics Dock-to-Dock Autorouting and CMAP Easy Routing use Chart data to suggest detailed routes for navigating through narrow passageways and channels. You'll need an active Chart updates subscription, but definitely a worthy addition.
