Following on from the RS40, Simrad has unveiled the latest addition to their line-up of VHF radios.

Introducing RS40-B VHF radio, which in a world first includes an integrated Class-B AIS Receiver and >Transmitter.

With RS40-B, you'll not only be able to receive position data from other vessels (just as you could with the original RS40), but now you'll also be able to transmit and share your position with nearby AIS-enabled vessels.

The new RS40-B VHF is an all-in-one solution that saves space and is easier to install. You'll be able to view AIS data on the radio's screen, or overlay on your chartplotter. There's also an internal GPS Receiver and full DSC functionality.

Available from August 2019.
