Safe at sea with Ocean Signal EPIRB1 Pro Float Free

Coming soon to us at CH Smith, Ocean Signal has introduced the EPIRB1 Pro – an incredibly compact, float free Category 1 EPIRB that auto deploys even if you’re unable to reach it.

It’s 30% more compact than other EPIRBs, and boasts 48hrs+ battery operation with a huge 10 year battery life, so you’ll always have peace of mind when you’re out on the water.

The new EPIRB1 Pro also has a state-of-the-art 66 Channel GPS Receiver for faster location and improved accuracy.

In event of an emergency, Ocean Signal EPIRB1 Pro is just the thing you want to have onboard with you so that emergency services can find you quickly.

Once submerged in water, EPIRB1 Pro is designed to release automatically from the Category 1 Auto Deploy Bracket and float free from the sinking vessel. When it floats to the surface, it then transmits a distress signal to rescue authorities.

It transmits this through 406MHz satellite, which is monitored by international satellite operator >Cospas-Sarsat, ensuring a signal can be located whenever it is activated around the globe.

EPIRB1 Pro takes this further though as it also operates on the new, next-gen MEOSAR >Cospas-Sarsat system. Ocean Signal says this means that ‘anyone activating an EPIRB1 Pro can expect their beacon to be located within 100 metres, 95% of the time, within 5 minutes of the distress signal.’
