Lowrance have released the much anticipated Elite 7 HDI(Hybrid Digital Imaging) Fishfinder/Plotter combo, the Elite 7m Chartplotter only and soon to come, the Elite 7x Fishfinder only models.

The Elite 7 devices feature a 7" wide screen (an upgrade from the 5" screen on the previous series) with a bright LED back-lit display. This allows anglers to see more Sonar history, larger Chart images and more detail in split-screen mode. This provides the opportunity for multi-window display, which allows you to choose up to three panels such as Chart, Sonar and DownScan imaging, all at the same time. The new page selector menu with quick access to all features, using one-thumb operation, also makes acessing these features much more simple.

Those models with Fishfinder capabilities also feature HDI, which combines >Broadband Sounder with DownScan Imaging technology, to provide the best possible view of the water column.The >Broadband Sounder is ideal for marking Fish arches and tracking lure action, while the DownScan Imaging provides structure and bottom detail. Boaters can then layer these two elements, to separate the Fish targets from the surrounding structure.

The Elite-7 models with chartplotter capabilities feature a highly accurate built-in GPS Antenna which allows a Micro SD Card to be inserted, to display preloaded maps such as Navionics Gold Marine Charts, which is included with the available models. These are also compatible with the Insight Genesis technology, allowing you to create your own maps.
