New Jeppesen C-MAP MAX-N mapping systems

Jeppesen have released their new C-MAP MAX-N m/SD cards in MAX-N BDS and MAX-N Wide formats.

Max-N is the name of the Navico specific version of C-Map''s Max Cartography produced to operate on Lowrance, Simrad and B&G chartplotters and combos.

C-MAP MAX-N will appeal to cruising owners offering unbelievable coverage and detail at a very affordable price. MAXN-BDS charts covers large geographical regions, with coastal coverage of Africa, Russia, Asia, Oceania & South Pacific. MAX-N Wide cards will have more detail, but because of the increased file size, will not cover so much area.

The key differences between the MAX-N and traditional MAX''s are the exclusion of dynamic tides & currents, Aerial imagery, guardian alarm and auto-routing.

The MAX-N Wide works in the newly created Navico specific format, including Detailed Harbour Charts, which are not available in the Max-N BDS charts, as you can see in the images to the right.

C-MAP MAX-N BDS charts are only available in specific Lowrance, Simrad and B&G bundles, such as the Simrad NSS Sport packages, Lowrance HDS Gen2, Lowrance Elite-7 HDI and B&G Zeus Touch and are available now! They are not available for separate purchase.

Max-N Wide charts can be purchased on pre-programmed m/SD cards. Existing owners of C-MAP based products can have their cards upgraded to MAX-N Wide format from July 2013.

CH Smith Marine are proud to be associated with C-MAP since 1994 and are a certified C-MAP authorised programming station which licences us to reproduce or upgrade any supported C-MAP card worldwide.

Additional Lowrance & Simrad models will become compatible with software updates throughout 2013.
