Lowrance HDS Gen2 Touch Series

Lowrance HDS Gen2 Touch Series promise to FIND NAVIGATE & DOMINATE with their Touch Screen Versions of their HDS Gen2 Series. The fastest and easiest to use HDS ever produced, are available in three fishfinder/plotter Combos and three Plotter only versions.

These Lowrance HDS Gen2 Touch Series feature a more rectangular screen than their Gen2 cousins using a standard 16:9 aspect ratio. This allows for up to 6 split screen variations and 1 full screen. Four display units can be networked together including previous Gen1 and Gen2 models.

For the first time in the HDS Range, Structure Scan is built into the HDS Gen2 Touch combos (but not into the M Plotter only versions). This provides down scanning, side scanning and real time Structure Mapping, which shows life-like images from beneath the water. The enhanced memory also allows the use of >Trackback through Sonar history to see what they may have missed, or learn what the Fish they have just caught looks like on the Sonar.

Cursor Assist is a new Lowrance Feature, which displays the cursor above your finger when it touches the screen, rather than underneath. The Chart will stop scrolling and will provide greater accuracy in navigating, especially for those with larger fingers.

In addition HDS9 & 12 models feature dual Ethernet ports and video in capabilities, further enhancing the ease of use of these products.

In keeping with Navico''s ''good, better, best'' approach, rather than superseding the earlier Gen2 models, these units will be offered alongside them. This allows for greater choice throughout the whole Lowrance Range. However, the different shape of the new HDS models, will not fit the old equipment, and therefore Retrofit kits will be available by the end of the year to allow the replacement of existing HDS flush mounted displays.
