In the past, if you needed to replace the old cable steering in your Boat, price might have limited you to using a mechanical cable style system again.

While mechanical has been the standard for years, hydraulic systems have a wide Range of benefits. Enter Hydrodrive, who have come up with a Range of hydraulic steering solutions for boats with outboard motors from 75 to 150HP.

Hydraulics offer a much more economical and flexible solution than mechanical steering. They require less maintenance, are smoother to operate and provide more consistent performance over time 

Hydrodrive system kits are suited to most major outboard brands. They're ideal for replacing worn cable steering in RIBS, centre console style boats and small trailer boats. They're safe, easy to install, and extremely affordable.

Based in Hungary, Hydrodrive has a long history of producing high Range hydraulic products. >Founder Luigi Gobbo has twenty years experience in the aircraft industry – and so components are manufactured to the same quality levels as those designed for aerospace. They're also engineered to prevent leaks even under extremely high pressure, and anodised for resistance to corrosion at sea.

Each kit includes a pump with fitting, cylinder with fitting, twin hose set with required connections, and 1 litre of oil. Even better, each kit has a 3 year manufacturer warranty.

Available in four complete all-in-one kits (75HP, 90HP, 120HP and 150HP). The two smaller models are not supplied with a lock valve. In that Way they behave like a mechanical steering system giving full >Rudder feed back or feel. 

The larger two are supplied with a bulit-in lockvalve. This means that if you put 10 degrees of >Rudder on, it stays there until you move the wheel again - hence there is no feed back. If you are planning to add an Autopilot to the system, you must use the lock valve models.
