Get Creative with Pahang Cane

Renowned for its versatility, >Pahang Cane can be used to make all sorts of things – as you can see here, for example!

Sharon from Creative Play Spaces is one of our customers and uses our Cane to hand weave these beautiful Cane cubby houses for children.

"I started making them first for a child who needed a space to go to at my preschool," says Sharon. "Then I noticed how much the children loved them, so I made another. Word spread, and now all the local community preschools have them."

Sharon says her aim in building these Cane cubbies is to "offer a warm, welcoming natural play space where children can learn through play, creating, and imagining, and feel a sense of belonging."

Our Cane has also been used in the past to build huts for the Lemur Island exhibit at Melbourne Zoo, and to make lanterns for the Adelaide Moon Lantern Festival.

We sell our Cane in 25kg bundles. Simply soak it in water for 12 hours, then you can bend and weave it into baskets or lobster pots, furniture and much more. It also makes an attractive feature for your garden.
