warm start

A warm start is used by a GPS device when it has access to it's last calculated position, almanac used (information about all the satellites in the constellation), and >UTC Time, but not the satellites that were in view. The GPS device then performs a reset and attempts to obtain satellite signals to calculates a new position. (c.f. >Hot Start, cold start)
