MDG

Similar Terms: CLO2, chlorine dioxide,

Mildew Gas - a patented, EPA-approved formula from Starbrite that's made from ClO2 chlorine dioxide and removes mold, mildew odour and other foul smells.

Chlorine dioxide has been recognised as a disinfectant since the early 1900s, and is one of the most effective  killers of mold and bacteria.

Made up of one atom of chlorine (Cl) and 2 atoms of oxygen (O2), CLO2 presents as a yellow-green gas with an odour similar to chlorine. Due to its gaseous nature, it has excellent distribution, penetration and sterilisation abilities.

It safely destroys all odours and leaves behind a crisp, clean scent (similar to chlorine) that will quickly dissipate with fresh air. It is frequently used in public water systems, hospitals and food processing facilities to disinfect and sanitize.

CLO2 oxidises products rather than chlorinating them, so unlike chlorine, chlorine dioxide will not produce environmentally undesirable organic compounds containing chlorine - making products cleaner and safer.

Note: MDG is not to be used while people or pets are present. Air out the space after treatment.
