Geocaching is an outdoor activity where participants use a Global Positioning System (GPS) or other navigational devices to hide and seek containers, called geocaches or caches. A Geocache could be hidden anywhere in the world and could be of any size or shape. A typical geocache is a small waterproof container containing a Logbook where finders Log a record of dates, times and who they were.

The first documented geocache was in 2000. There is now estimated to be more than 1.6 million geocaches hidden around the globe on every continent, including Antarctica.
