Digital Yacht iKommunicate NMEA 0183/2000 Gateway

Digital Yacht iKommunicate NMEA 0183/2000 Gateway is the world's first NMEA to Signal K gateway. It connects to your boat's NMEA network and converts traditional NMEA data into the new Signal K format, a new open data format for boats.

Signal K is the 'next generation' of marine Navigation data exchange - a 'web ready' interfacing standard for the latest generation of HTML5 websites and apps. Once your NMEA data is converted into Signal K, you can Log engine data such as fuel flow, temperature and pressure, then analyse for any trends that indicate an engine service requirement.

iKommunicate is equipped with a NMEA 2000 connection, dual NMEA 0183 ports and an RJ45 LAN interface. It has a built-in webserver and Ethernet Port for easy connection to a WiFi router, so nav data can be shared across multiple devices ie. tablets, PCs, smartphones and MFDs. This means that any mobile device connected to the network can display the Signal K data in its browser or compatible app, like NMEA Remote or Navionics.

iKommunicate can be self-powered from the NMEA 2000 network or connected to a 12/24v supply if only NMEA 0183 data is utilised. It is designed to connect to a 3rd party on-board router which will provide WiFi access and a gateway to the internet if required. This could be via 3G/4G, Wi-Fi or satellite.

iKommunicate also comes pre-installed with two Signal K Web Apps - iKompass and Instrument Panel - so that you can immediately start displaying NMEA data from your network.
