The DAME International Design Awards have been awarded for 2016, recognising the best of the best in product design for marine equipment and accessories.

Winning products were selected from a total of 117 entries – with seven category winners and one overall DAME winner.

Here at CH Smith Marine we are constantly looking for products that we describe as 'the best', so it is pleasing to see that the DAME Awards jury have agreed with us and these products are available at CH Smith Marine.

Torqeedo took out the Overall DAME 2016 Winner award with their Cruise FP Pod Drive – a high-efficiency, compact electric motor that offers a practical electric alternative to inboard diesels.

Judges praised the Cruise FP for 'its beautiful engineering, close attention to detail design, and its integrated approach.'
