Lowrance Simrad Halo Radar Velocity Track adds situational awareness

Let's face it, in busy waterways there is a lot going on, particularly if you are travelling at speed. Even if you are not travelling that fast, there are many others that are.

That is why, when you are looking at your >Radar screen, you want to be quickly able to identify who is moving towards you, so that you know if there is a potential problem.

While many >Radar targets may be stationary, being able to identify the moving ones, without have to watch the screen for some time, is what the Velocity Track feature on the Halo24 offers.

While the Velocity Track software is built in to the Halo24, you need a fast Heading Sensor to provide the information. A Precison 9 (included in the with the Simrad NAC2 and NAC3 autopilot) or the HS60 GPS Compass is used for this purpose.
