GME AIS Antenna

GME AIS Antenna is designed specifically to withstand harsh marine conditions. Fully detachable, this whip Antenna is UV stable with glass impregnated nylon ferrule.

AIS is intended to assist vessels in identifying and allow maritime authorities to track and monitor vessel movements. The frequencies used by AIS to transmit and receive this data are higher than marine VHF frequencies, so using a marine VHF Antenna with an AIS unit will compromise the performance of the system, as will the use of a ‘splitter’ to run VHF and AIS from the one Antenna.

Using a dedicated AIS Antenna ensures the best possible transmission and reception Range, and maximises your safety as it is tuned to the specific AIS frequencies giving better Range.
