What size Tested Shackle do I need for my Trailer?

Under Australian Transport Safety rules, not only trailer chains have to be made from high quality load tested chain, the shackle connecting it to your vehicle also needs to be a tested shackle.

It is quite easy to see if your shackle is tested. They usually have a yellow pin and the test results are stamped on the shackle. Fines of $150 and 3 demerit points have been incurred in Victoria.

Fortunately help is at hand! We stock PWB tested shackles that are made to AS2741 and comply with the regulations.
