Turning the Right Way with Turning Point Propellers

After managing to smash my prop on a Boat ramp at Lake Eppalock I was left with little option but to look for a new prop. Knowing that we stocked Turning Point propellers, I jumped onto our website to see exactly what was available. A quick perusal and my mind was set, the trusty 50hp Johnson was going to get a revamp with a new Rascal Prop.

After I had ordered the relevant hub kit and prop from our supplier it was a matter of waiting, when it finally came in I was ready to go! I got home that night but unfortunately had to go to the better half''s parents house for dinner, so had no time to install the prop while it was still light.

With a comp to Fish the next day it needed to be done, so with much trepidation I got outside with the torch and a wrench and got to work.

It was unbelievably easy, all I had to do was remove the retaining pin from the Shaft, undo the locking bolt (I am NOT mechanically minded at all!) and then pull the old Propeller off. Closely following the instructions which are supplied, I put the washers on in the correct order, slipped the hub kit into the new Propeller and then bolted the prop back on. Within 10 minutes, in Pitch black conditions and never having done that before I''d switched the prop over! It was that easy!
