Lowrance HDS Touch or HDS Gen2 Keyboard combos and Chart plotters just got better with the latest V2.5 upgrades.

Lowrance rise above and beyond by offering customers not just bug fixes and improved software but new features for their HDS Gen 2 series devices. The V2 upgrade packs included 9 new features in this release, which goes to show what a far sighted and flexible operating system Lowrance have created. While most other brands would release new features in a new model, leaving existing owners out in the cold, Lowrance spend multi millions of dollars in continuing to develop not only new products, but breathing new life into existing models. Now the V2.5 upgrade is offering more and still for free.

Features of the new update include:

• New functionality for Lowrance SpotlightScan Sonar
• New functionality for Lowrance SonarHub CHIRP Sounder Module
• New FUSION-Link compatibility
• Improved redraw, pan and rotate performance with C-MAP Max-N cartography
• As well as all features previously released in the 2.1-45.144 software update

SonarHub allows you to view data from CHIRP, >Broadband and StructureScan HD Transducers.

SpotlightScan shows the structure and Fish targets >Ahead and around the Boat without disturbing these areas before you have a chance to Fish them. It can also be used as a conventional Transducer or for DownScan imaging. (SpotlightScan works with most MotorGuide and Minn Kota Cable steer Trolling motors).

FUSION-Link devices which are connected to a NMEA 2000 compatible network, can now be controlled by a HDS unit. This also allows multiple FUSION-Link devices to be accessed.
