Pflueger

Pflueger reels have been a part of the fishing industry and an anglers tackle box for over 100 years. Since 1881 when Ernest F. Pflueger founded a fish hook company, the Pflueger name has been involved in the fishing industry. His son Earnest A. Pflueger took over the family business and changed the name to the E.A. Pflueger Company, while expanding the company from a fishing hook manufacturer to all aspects of fishing tackle & gear. In 1916 the first Pflueger Baitcast reel was manufactured and became a benchmark of the fishing reel industry. The Pflueger spinning reel was introduced in 1954 and today Pflueger continues to be one of the world's leading rod and reel manufacturers.
